We use both edible dried flowers as well as real flowers.
If you request real flowers, the cake will need to be of a reasonable size to do the flowers justice.
The stems of the flowers are wrapped, providing a protective barrier, before inserting them into the cake. This avoids any possible contamination. The flowers should be removed before serving as they are not edible.
Yes we do. We use wafer paper to create flower/leaf decorations. These are edible but it’s not recommended to eat them. They are delicate and can lose their shape quickly if in a high humidity area. If you wish to preserve the flower store in a non humid area after your celebration has finished.
Baking and Ingredients
Yes we do. This ensures the cake maintains its freshness and is full flavour when delivered to you.
We want to deliver our cakes when they are at their best.
The combination of some ingredients, along with the preparation process means the best flavours form after settling for two or three days in the fridge.
An example is the apple tart. Only when the apple compote has cooled and fused with the spices, will the cake be at their best.
Every effort is made to bake the same cake or dessert. As we use fresh ingredients, some may be out of season so we substitute them for the best alternatives creating the difference.
The same amount of love still goes into making the dessert.
Yes. Its been certified by the Manningham City Council
Allergen and specific diets
NO for those medically diagnosed as celiac.
NO for those who choose to have a gluten free diet.
To be certified as gluten free, there must be no trace of gluten products in the kitchen.
We continually clean our kitchen after baking rounds but because we use both gluten and gluten free ingredients we cannot guarantee gluten free in our desserts. Those medically diagnosed with celiac disease, must have this guarantee. That is the reason for the answer above.
The kitchen is NOT classified nut free.
Nut traces may exist in our desserts even though they do not contain nut ingredients. This is because the same equipment is used to make desserts that contain nuts. Therefore traces may remain on this equipment even after thorough cleaning.
Yes we do. Some of our existing desserts can be replaced with plant based ingredients without affecting the key aspects of the dessert, taste, flavour and texture. Send us a message requesting whether an existing dessert can be converted to vegan and we will get back to you.
Many of our desserts require dairy products such as cow milk and therefore contain lactose.
Some of these desserts can be substituted with an equivalent lactose free version or plant based ingredients, without affecting their taste, flavour and texture. Get in touch to see which dessert can be converted to lactose free

The serving portion and sizes are determined by the size and shape of the cake. The cakes size, portions and dimensions are provided in the Additional Information section below the picture on the cake page.
There are two types of cake portions: coffee slices and dessert portions.
Coffee slices are approximately 2.5cm x 2.5 x 10cm (1″ x 1″ x 4”*).
These are smaller than dessert slices, because they are not the main dessert but an accompaniment with a drink for example.
Dessert slices are the main dessert of the meal, and therefore larger, approximately, 2.5cm x 5 x 10cm (1″ x 2″ x 4”*).
* The depth of the slice will be influenced by the depth of the cake or dessert

Each request is reviewed on an individual basis.
It depends on how much notice is given, the type of dessert made and how much of a change is required. We will do our best to accommodate your request.
